Somatic Healing Sessions
At Aruma, somatic care may be integrated into counselling sessions or offered as a more focused approach depending on your needs and goals.
There are times when talking alone does not feel like enough. We may understand something logically, yet still feel stuck in the same patterns, emotions, or nervous system responses. Somatic Healing Sessions offer an opportunity to move beyond insight alone and into deeper connection with the body, where many of our experiences, emotions, and protective patterns are held.
At Aruma, Somatic Healing Sessions are personalized to the individual and may incorporate breathwork, meditation, yoga, movement, sound immersion, coaching, counselling, energetic healing, nervous system regulation practices, and other body-based approaches. Each session is guided by what feels most supportive and aligned for you in that moment, in collaboration with your practitioner. Healing does not happen through force or by simply trying harder. Often, it happens when we feel safe enough to soften, slow down, and reconnect with ourselves. Somatic practices help create the conditions for that safety, allowing the body and nervous system to move toward healing in a way that feels gentle, supported, and sustainable.

These sessions are designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, regulate your nervous system, release tension, increase awareness, and create space for healing, understanding, and integration. Whether you are navigating stress, burnout, trauma, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, somatic work offers a gentle invitation to return to your body, your inner wisdom, and the parts of yourself that may have been waiting to be heard.
