ARUMA WELLNESS SERVICES
Our Story
Aruma began with a simple, but deeply rooted intention: to create a space where people could feel safe enough to be human. A space where counselling felt approachable, grounded, and free from the stigma and sterility that so often surrounded it.

Founded by Haley Bowes in 2016, Aruma was built from the belief that healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported—sometimes for the very first time. From the beginning, the vision was never simply about offering therapy sessions, but about creating spaces that felt warm, welcoming, and deeply human.

At Aruma, we believe that healing is part of the human experience—not something reserved only for moments of crisis. We believe there is a responsibility, and also a courage, in being willing to look honestly at ourselves, our stories, our patterns, and our pain. Healing is how we evolve. It is how we deepen our relationships, reconnect to ourselves, and move through life with greater awareness, intention, and presence. Because of this, we believe support should feel accessible, normalized, and woven more naturally into the way we live and speak about being human.

Over the last decade, Aruma has moved through many seasons of growth, change, challenge, death, and rebirth—both personally and professionally. Services evolved, spaces shifted, practitioners came and went, and the world itself changed in profound ways. Through all of it, the heart of Aruma never wavered: to support others in their healing, growth, and highest good.
The understanding that the mind and body cannot be separated has also remained foundational to the work. Over the years, Aruma continued expanding into more integrative approaches to healing—recognizing that trauma and life experiences often live within the body long after the mind has processed them. This understanding continues to shape how we support individuals, couples, families, children, and youth today.

Aruma has never been built by one person alone. It is made up of the people who have walked through its doors, trusted us with their stories, offered their care, shared their gifts, and helped shape the fabric of what this space has become over the last ten years.

Today, Aruma continues to evolve while remaining deeply rooted in what brought it here in the first place: creating grounded spaces for healing, understanding, connection, and integration. We believe this work matters deeply. Healing changes the way we relate to ourselves, our bodies, our relationships, and the world around us.

It is an honour to continue holding space for that work every day.

What makes Aruma
Different
At Aruma, we hold both structure and compassion
Our work is grounded in evidence-based practices while also honouring the body’s role in how we experience, carry, and process life.

We believe healing begins with honest awareness—not avoiding the hard parts of the human experience, but creating space to move through them with support, curiosity, and care.

We move at a pace that feels grounded and aligned for you, without pressure or urgency. This is a space to feel understood, challenged when needed, and supported in making sense of what’s beneath the surface.

When you are willing to do the work—to look honestly at yourself, your patterns, your relationships, and your experiences—you begin to move through life differently. Often with more presence, healthier relationships, greater self-understanding, and a deeper sense of clarity, intention, and ease.
