Lauren Matheson
Registered Psychotherapist
Grief & Life Transitions • Couples & Relationships • EMDR & Trauma Recovery
Lauren believes that while we all do our best to navigate life on our own, there are times when additional support can make all the difference. She creates a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can explore what is holding them back, better understand themselves, and move toward greater wellbeing, self-compassion, and meaningful change. Her approach is grounded, authentic, and relational, blending clinical knowledge with genuine human connection and a sense of humour.
Lauren works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, life transitions, and relationship challenges. She believes therapy should be tailored to the unique needs of each person and helps clients better understand their emotional experiences, develop practical coping tools, and create lasting change in their lives. Her style is thoughtful, approachable, and focused on helping clients feel supported while building resilience and confidence.
With advanced training in Psychodynamic and Systemic Therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and EMDR, Lauren brings both depth and flexibility to her work. She also has a special interest in couples, families, siblings, and parent-child relationships, helping clients navigate the complexities of connection, communication, and relational patterns with greater understanding and confidence.
